Water Treatment Plant Training
Client: Canadian Gold Mining Company (Central America)
The Matchbox team reviewed client procedures and process flow sheets to create a water treatment plant competency framework and benchmark for the company. From this we developed and administered an online self-assessment tool to identify knowledge gaps and then developed online learning modules with practical assessments.
-
Ethics, Governance & Compliance Training
Client: Local Government
We designed and developed engaging and interactive online learning packages for Risk Management, Procurement, Purchasing and Governance Training. The SCORM packages included intuitive learning architecture and design, with a little splash of humorous narrative.
The simple animations and fun nature of the online courses turned compliance training into an efficient and easy to consume journey for their staff.
-
Mining Contractor Plant and Equipment
Client: West Australian fast growing Mining Contractor
Matchbox has been contracted to provide online learning content and online verification of competency (VOC) theory for a large, fast growing mining contractor in Western Australia.
The scope includes over 110 packages ranging from mobile lighting towers and fire suppression systems to large yellow plant.
All packages are in SCORM format, contextualised to site and client operations.
-
LMS Implimentation
Client: Large National Waste Collection Company (Australia)
The team configured an off-the-shelf LMS to suit the business operations, user interface and compliance reporting requirements. This was integrated into their safety and quality system.
During the build, we provided the client with a stopgap web based LMS to maintain their training and compliance obligations.
We also developed several packages as part of their onboarding and induction suite including Chain of Responsibility, Risk Management and Manual Handling
-
Lithium Extraction Process Training
Client: French/Argentinian Lithium Mining Company
The team analysed process flow sheets, procedures and OEM instructions extracting relevant information and data. This was simplified and turned into 13 online packages, then tanslated to Spanish.
Packages were hosted on our LMS.
-
Plant Maintenance Fast Track Program
Client: Large Mining House (Australia)
The project combined deep task analysis mapped to Nationally Recognised Units of Competency and Qualifications, creating pathways linked to purposeful and efficient outcomes.
We worked closely with the client to develop a training strategy that integrated online resources and assessments with supervisor and leader on-the-job training and assessment processes.
This created a fast track program to train and certify maintenance personnel which are in high demand.
-
LMS Hosting and Management
Client: Multi-national Waste Management Company
Matchbox hosts and manages the client’s SCORM packages on our web-based Learning Management System (LMS), providing realtime reporting, maintenance and updating as required. With approximately 10,000 learning events occurring a year, our LMS implementation and management services have helped the client meet their compliance and learning goals, and ensure a smooth learning experience for the staff.
-
Offshore Crane and Rigging Training
Client: International Training Organisation
We created a hybrid learning pathway including online modules with a user interface designed to reduce any friction to access by learners who may be in remote parts of the world, from non-English speaking backgrounds and who may have not experienced online learning.
The learning pathway included language, literacy and numeracy (LLN) assessments and `warm-up’ pre-learning modules. All content and learning events where hosted and managed on the Matchbox’ LMS.
-
Waste Driving Learning Pathways
Client: Large Waste Management Company (Australia and New Zealand)
Matchbox designed a blended work-based learning pathway for Nationally Recognised Waste Driver and Waste Operations qualifications under a traineeship model. The modules included both digital and offline assessments as well as a digital literacy program.
The complexities of integrating both online and offline training meant it was important for Matchbox to strategise the roll out of the new learning pathway and manage change across the organisation at scale.
-
Staff Induction and Onboarding
Client: Large Labour Hire and Recruitment Firm
We established and implemented a web-based Labour Hire - Onboarding and Learning Management System. This included developing company inductions, communication triggers (both internally and to new hire).
As the system is accessed globally and by people who may have poor digital literacy, we designed the process and user interface as simple as possible to minimise the bounce rate.
